Getting Started

Q: How do I schedule a first session?
A: You can request a consultation through the contact form, email, or by calling the office. We’ll talk briefly about your goals and decide if we’re a good fit before booking your first appointment.

Q: Do you offer online therapy?
A: Yes. I provide secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions for anyone located in California, as well as in-person appointments in Costa Mesa.

Who I Work With

Q: What kinds of clients do you specialize in?
A: I work primarily with LGBTQ+, polyamorous, kink-affirming and non-traditional relationship communities, as well as high-achieving professionals and C-Suite executives seeking confidential, culturally competent therapy.

Q: Do you see couples or families who are polyamorous or in open relationships?
A: Yes. I offer affirming therapy for all couples, polyamorous couples, open relationships and chosen families around communication, boundaries and conflict resolution.

Q: Do you work with executives under high stress?
A: Absolutely. Many of my clients are leaders juggling high-stakes responsibilities. Therapy offers a private space to address stress, burnout, imposter syndrome or identity questions without judgment.

Approach & Style

Q: What is your therapy style?
A: I use a warm, collaborative, trauma-informed approach that integrates evidence-based methods with cultural humility and LGBTQ+ affirming care. I am gentle and firm.

Q: How long are sessions and how often do we meet?
A: Standard sessions are 50 minutes and typically weekly, though frequency can be adjusted to your needs.

Fees & Policies

Q: What are your fees and do you offer a sliding scale?
A: My standard fees are listed on the Fees page. A limited number of sliding-scale spots may be available—please ask if you’re interested.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Missed appointments without notice may be billed at the full session rate.

Emergencies & Resources

Q: Do you provide crisis services?
A: I am not a crisis service. If you’re in immediate danger, please call 911 or the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988. You can also find additional support links on my Resources page.
